Accessing CELC Legislative Information Online

CELC-specific legislative information is available to members 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, through the California Advocates website. The information is updated on a daily basis. For access, please follow these simple steps:

1. Access the California Advocates homepage through web address www.caladvocates.com
2. On the homepage, click on “Client Only Services”
3. Scroll to California Employment Law Council, and click
4. You will need to know the secure UserId and password to access the site

There is a wealth of information available through this CELC-specific folder. Included on the site are the following:

• Status report showing all bills of interest to CELC
• Current language of each bill, and of each amended version of each bill
• Committee analyses of bills
• Committee and floor votes on each bill
• Committee hearings in Assembly and Senate
• Information on the author of each bill
• Much, much more – see sample attached

Additionally, the site contains the exact language of the complete California Codes. After selecting this option, simply enter the code desired (e.g. Civil Code, Code of Civil Procedure, Penal Code, etc.), scroll to the section number desired, and click.
